Addicted: Recovering from Marijuana Addiction by Kathy D
Can someone really be addicted to marijuana? Am *I* addicted to marijuana? Is it possible to live a life free from this addiction?
These are the questions I asked myself when I was at the lowest point of my marijuana addiction. I couldn’t see it then, but the answer to all these questions was yes. Marijuana addiction is real, it ruled my life for more than twenty years. Life’s circumstances created a mental environment ripe for escape when weed surfaced in my life. Using marijuana led me to crowds who used other, even more addictive, substances. When enough was enough I didn’t know where to go or that help was available to me. I share my story to offer a lifeline to anyone who uses marijuana and wants to stop, to live a different, better and more fulfilling life.
In this book you will learn:
- That anyone can become a marijuana addict
- That many, including the addict, do not take marijuana addiction seriously
- That marijuana can lead to other addictive substances
- How I walked through addiction in all its forms and lived to tell the tale
- That there is hope for marijuana addicts
Filled with insights about the ugly side of addiction and how it can slowly poison everything in your life, I offer this memoir with the hope that, if you smoke like I smoked and feel like I felt, you are not alone. What I share may help you to reach the light at the end of the tunnel, discovering that there is a life after addiction, and a community of others willing to travel on this journey with you.
