Deadly Dunes, the second book of the Deadly Series finds Steve Thibault dissatisfied with his familiar job in the Leesborough North Carolina Police Department. He suggests to his girlfriend, Gemma Farnese, that they take time off at his family’s ramshackle cottage at the coast. Steve plans to renovate the home while Gemma explores publicity opportunities for the local museum in her new position as Public Information Officer for the North Carolina Historical Society.

The Beaufort Museum Director, Alex Singleterry, sends mixed messages to Gemma about the
death of a museum docent, missing artifacts and his romantic interest in her. She is more worried about Steve’s association with shady friends from the past and the possibility that he may be involved in something illegal.

While Steve and Gemma have come for a vacation and a little bit of work they are pulled into the complicated situation at the museum, another docent death and a drug deal in the making. Follow them as they try to distinguish friend from foe in the ever-complicating terrain, a chase through the museum’s basement and an escape by boat.

If you like emotionally intriguing characters and a romance fraught with danger, you’ll love Andrea Ibáñez’s suspenseful story.
