The races enjoy the fruits of the first political alliances. Kings hold feasts, while a diligent few smell war on the wind. The perception of peace fades with the division of the Elven house and the rumor of a dragon with an army of slaves moving north. The fires of war are soon kindled. The Dwarves and their allies rush to prepare their forces to march out and meet a crushing wave. A mountain village bears the brunt of the first attack, and the consequences of a desperate attempt to stem the flow of a vast army. Out matched and outnumbered, a group of unlikely heroes must hold their ground until the armies arrive or the world will fall.
